Sous Chef jobs
A Sous chef is essentially a deputy Head Chef.
In many kitchens it is the Sous Chef who is in charge of the day to day running of the Kitchen whilst the Head Chef attends to management issues such as hiring and firing staff, planning menus and dealing with suppliers. The Sous Chef will usually be responsible for scheduling activities to meet deadlines as well as the Head Chef's man management whilst off duty.
Some smaller organisations may not have a Sous Chef whilst some larger ones may have several.
