Changing your Email address

"Dual-use" explained

As an Internet standard, to gain access to any secure system you would be required (at least) to provide:

• A unique ID

• A password     

To enable that system to send you Emails (e.g. the ukcateringcareers.co.uk password and automated job alerts) you would, of course, also need to provide your Email address.

The ukcateringcareers.co.uk system exploits the fact that your Email address is already guaranteed to be unique ... by also using it as your unique ID.

So ... to log in to the ukcateringcareers.co.uk site it is necessary to provide:

• Your Email address

• Your password

But this raises the question ... what happens if I change my Email address ?

No problem. You can follow the ukcateringcareers.co.uk click-by-click guide (3.1.1) for changing your email address as often as you wish. This will immediately cause your ukcateringcareers.co.uk Email to be sent to the new address.

Be aware, however, that as is common on secure systems, it is not possible to change your unique log-in ID. So, even though your Emails will go to your new Email address, the old Email address will continue to be your correct log-in ID.
